The Effects of Task-based Language Teaching and Audio-lingual Teaching Approach in Mandarin Learning Motivation

This study investigates the effects of Task-based Language Teaching (TBLT) and Audio-Lingual Approach (ALTA) on learning motivation among non-native Mandarin learners in as a Third (TMTL). The TBLT applied is an adaptation Willis's TBL Framework, while ALTA Sarıçoban's dialogue memorisation. A quasi-experimental design was used this study, with 21 students selected through convenience sampling for 22 ALTA. Motivational Strategies Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) employed. descriptive analysis conducted to compare if any changes anxiety components both groups before after were adopted interventions. showed that there aspect component. result indicated increment number group very high level TBLT. ranged from 8 (38%) 11 (52%); remained unchanged (50%) had motivation, motivation.
